General Troubleshooting:

1.ComputerCOP does not start automatically after the CD is inserted.

Insert the ComputerCOP CD. left mouse click the START Button (or press CTRL+ESC on your keyboard).
Left mouse click on RUN (or use the keyboard arrows to highlight RUN and press ENTER). Enter D:\autorun.exe where D is the drive letter corresponding to your CD drive. Left mouse click OK (or press ENTER).

2.ComputerCOP does not run.

Most important note regarding ComputerCOP, regardless of version, is You must be running the program
as an Administrator. ComputerCOP will not run under an account with only User or Guest Privileges.
To Check that you are running as the Administrator of the computer do the following.

Right Mouse Click on Start button (XP), the blue circle with the Windows flag inside (Vista), go to Control Panel and then Click on User Accounts, your name and the type of account will be displayed. If the computer is not running under Administrator, Restart the machine and log in with the Administrator's user name and password.

3. When the RUN ComputerCOP button is selected, only options available are SAVE or OPEN.

The preferred browser for ComputerCOP's presentation version (featuring a video and built-in website) is Internet Explorer. Firefox will run ComputerCOP and other applications, but you need to download this add-on. Go to the following site: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/207

4. Keystroke Capture Problems.

To not show the icon in the taskbar, uncheck the box next to Display ComputerCOP Keystroke Capture (in taskbar).’ Click OK and then the STOP button. Your computer must be restarted in order for the capture utility to start. The next time you run ComputerCOP, click on the Chat & Email button. If any objectionable words have been detected, the chat & email sessions will be displayed as documents here or in the Words review.

To deactivate the feature, access the keystroke capture options window in same manner listed above and click on the Stop button. To de-activate Keystroke: Place the ComputerCOP CD back into the computer. Let it scan for a second or two. Then Click on the Chat/Email button. The click on the underlined word ComputerCOP in the upper-right hand corner. The keystroke capture dialog box will display. In this window, click on STOP Keystroke Capture and if you wish you can also select Un-install
keystroke capture to completely remove this tool from your computer.
