ComputerCOP Forensic is engineered to be used by the detectives, investigators, agents and computer forensic professionals of law enforcement agencies. The product's field use capability allows for the investigator to retrieve evidence at the moment the search warrant is issued.

ComputerCOP Forensic is installed on the investigator's laptop and searches the suspect computer via a proprietary parallel cable at a search rate greater than 300 megs per minute. The suspect computer is started from a DOS boot diskette and our DOS based server software enables the suspect computer to be accessed from the investigator's computer. The suspect computer is write blocked eliminating any concern about data loss or contamination. Please note, ComputerCOP Forensic can search computers running all Windows operating systems since Windows 95 and including Windows XP. However, currently, the examiner's machine must be running Windows 95 or 98.

ComputerCOP searches for text based on a selection from a 21- category keyword lexicon or manually added words or phrases. These categories include homicide/assault, terrorism, weapons/explosives, sex and drug-related crimes. Moreover, ComputerCOP searches for a variety of image types and headers.

ComputerCOP has the ability to retrieve data that has been deleted even from hard drives that have been "typical" overwritten.
